Generous and open-knit, the 2020 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières reveals aromas of sweet orchard fruit, toasted nuts and white flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and succulent palate that's round and giving.

Rich and fleshy, the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières offers up expressive aromas of orange blossom, peach and pear, followed by a medium to full-bodied, round and enveloping palate. It's a forward, generous wine that will drink well young.

Bursting with aromas of citrus oil, fresh peach and toasted nuts, the 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and open knit, with succulent acids and a ripe core of fruit. As usual, this is a generous, textural Puligny that will drink well young.

Pretty and expressive, the 2017 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières offers up notes of crisp pear, ripe lemon and a touch of struck matchstick from its recent bottling, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny palate with tangy acids, nice chewy extract and a chalky finish. It's one of the finest white wines I've tasted from Glantenay.

The 2016 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru les Folatieres was only slightly touched by the frost, losing around 15% of the crop. Taken directly from tank without fining, it has a straightforward bouquet of red apple, lime and a touch of wild honey that is just missing the tension and mineralité of the 2014 for example. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, nothing deep or excessively complex here but agreeable tension on the granitic finish that just cuts away abruptly. It should find a little more persistence once in bottle at the beginning of January.
