Loads of yellow fruits can be discerned in the aromatics of the 1999 Pinot Gris Sonnenglanz Vendanges Tardives. This broad, candied berry, pear, peach, apricot, and spice-flavored wine is medium-bodied, plump, and easy to love. It is fruit-driven, dense, creamy-textured, and has an admirably long, sweet, luscious finish. Drink it over the next 12-14 years. Importers: European Cellars (Eric Solomon), New York, NY; tel.
