Sweet peach and apricot aromas are found in the 1997 Tokay-Pinot Gris Sonnenglanz Vendange Tardive's nose. On the palate, a powerful punch of honey, bergamots, mirabelles, and honey-dripping grapefruits greets the taster. This medium-to-full-bodied, viscously-textured - yet pure and well-balanced - wine is concentrated, intense, and showy. It is approachable now but will easily hold through 2014.
