The 2016 Ventoux les Boudalles is Brusset's entry-level red. A lightweight, approachable blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and 10% Clairette, it offers modest red fruit and some dry, leafy tannin.

Another forward, lightly textured, character-filled effort is the 2014 Ventoux les Boudalles. Made from 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah and the rest Mourvèdre, aged all in concrete, it offers pretty notes of red plums, white pepper and mint, medium-bodied richness and a nice finish. Drink it over the coming 3-4 years.
