The 2014 C?tes du Rh?ne gives up lots of roasted herbs, Bing cherry and saddle leather notes in its medium-bodied, classic, old school personality. Made from 45% Syrah 45% Grenache and 10% Marselan, drink it over the coming 2-4 years.

A fair step up over the Chateauneuf du Pape, the 2013 C?tes du Rh?ne checks in as a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 10% Marselan. It has a pretty, herbal, underbrush and truffle-scented bouquet to go with a medium-bodied, delicious and rounded style on the palate. It’s not going to make old bones, but it's loaded with Provencal character and has good complexity.

Always a great Cotes du Rhone, the 2012 is no exception. A blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and the balance other permitted varieties, it screams Southern Rhone on the nose with sweet kirsch, saddle leather, garrigue and ground herbs. Medium-bodied, supple and hard to resist, with a quaffable feel, it should be purchased by the case and consumed over the coming 3-4 years. Drink now-2018.
