I first encountered these wines at the exceptional wine shop owned by the proprietors of the restaurant Taillevent in Paris, the Vrinats. I am delighted to see that these wines are now represented in the United States. The 1991 and 1990 Coteaux du Languedocs offer considerable elegance allied to richness and intensity. The 1991 is more complex from an aromatic point of view, while the 1990 is slightly more viscous and fleshy on the palate. Both are rich, classy wines that exhibit fine winemaking. Each should drink well for another 3-4 years. Importer: Eric Solomon Selections, European Cellars, New York, NY.
