The 2015 Bourgogne La Chapelle Notre-Dame, which this year is totally barrel aged, has generous blackberry and raspberry scents on the fulsome nose. The palate is balanced, simple and rounded, perhaps missing come cohesion at first and yet there is sufficient acidity to avoid any blowsiness, whilst the dash of white pepper on the short finish is welcome. Drink over the next 3-4 years.

The 2014 Bourgogne La Chapelle Notre-Dame, which was bottled summer 2015, has light brambly fruit on the nose with just a touch of cola. The palate is nicely balanced with blackberry and raspberry fruit, quite smooth in the mouth with a saline finish.
