Aromas of pear, citrus oil, white flowers and nutmeg preface the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Champgains, a medium to full-bodied and mouth-filling wine that's ample and satiny, with bright acids and a fleshy, gourmand profile.

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Champgains displays aromas of white currant, citrus oil, mandarin and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, racy and tensile palate that's lively and incisive, concluding with a mineral finish.

The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Champgains is one of the younger-vine cuvées in the cellar, but it has turned out well, offering notes of crisp peach, white flowers, honeycomb and lemon. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, chalky but open-knit, with bright acids and a pure but simple profile. It will drink well out of the gates.
