The 2008 “Dionysos Chora” is a lighter-styled, unoaked blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. It started off quite closed. After opening rather dumb, it showed more intensity as it aired out, surpassing its very simple, slightly tart and one dimensional start that rather concerned me. It remains charming, bright, sunny and rather tasty, with lots of Grenache-y notes, a great food wine. Its tasty flavor profile shows some complexity and character with aeration.
