The 2014 Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru les Dominodes has that sense of density and volume on the nose, typical of this great vineyard. Blackberry and briary scents, sous-bois coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with thickset tannin, very well judged acidity, lovely structure and symmetry here with a long, mineral-driven finish that is totally satisfying. This is a great Savigny from Pavelot, one that should be afforded long-term ageing (if possible).
