Combined, Grenache Noir and Cinsault typically account for around 60% of this cuvée, with Grenache Blanc, Mourvèdre and Syrah making up the bulk of the remainder. The 2022 Tavel la Forcadiere is a medium translucent ruby in the glass, with just a hint of copper. Scents of crushed stone join notes of ripe cherries and strawberries on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is impressively taut, backed by ample acidity. The wine finishes strong, with plenty of citrus-tinged persistence and a gently silky texture.

Even if the 2021 Tavel la Forcadiere isn't quite as bold and effusive as Maby's Prima Donna bottling, there's still a lot to like, from the scents of raspberries, peaches and limes to the medium to full-bodied palate. It's a wine with excellent intensity, a silky, layered texture and a long, mouthwatering finish.

Strawberries strongly mark the nose of the 2019 Tavel La Forcadiere, which should be consumed over the next several months. Ripe and rounded, medium to full-bodied and loaded with fruit, this hedonistic rosé isn't your typical summer refresher but a more serious, weighty offering.
