The 1990 Beaune 1er Cru les Reversees has a pleasant, lightly honeyed bouquet with scents of marmalade and ripe Satsumas. The palate is balanced with good acidity, the entry with vestiges of red berry fruit, although the second half is dominated by secondary notes (leather and clove) and it dries out toward the finish because of its maturity rather than any poor winemaking.
