The 2015 Galena is a blend of 35% Garnacha, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 15% Cari?ena—all organically farmed—that aged for one year in French and American (20%) oak barrels. It's quite oaky, and in fact, the dominant notes on the nose—spices, toast and smoke over a core of red and black fruit—are all derived from its time in barrel. The palate is also quite oaky, in a commercial way. Quite good in its style; for fans of oaky reds. 18,00 bottles produced.
