The white 2014 Brut Reserva Especial is produced with Macabeo (Viura) and Chardonnay and matured in bottle with lees for two years. It has seven grams of residual sugar. It felt less expressive and riper than the 2013 and less lively in the palate too. In fact, I'd drink this before the 2013. 53,970 bottles produced.

I tasted two vintages of their Brut Reserva, including the 2013 Brut Reserva Especial, a blend of Macabeo and Chardonnay with seven grams of residual sugar and aged sur lie for 24 months. It's fresh and straightforward, pleasant, with white fruit and yeast flavors and abundant bubbles, easy to drink and refreshing. 56,778 bottles.

The 2006 Brut Reserva Especial is light straw-colored with a bouquet of fresh baked biscuit, apple, and white peach. On the palate it has good depth of flavor, a vibrant palate feel, and excellent balance. The finish is clean and lengthy. Drink all of these Cavas over the next 4-5 years. The non-vintage Brut Reserva Especial is 80% Macabeo and 20% Chardonnay. Light straw-colored, it exhibits wheat thin and green apple aromas.
