Monnot et Fils is plainly one of the most dependable producers in the little-known Maranges area, at the southern tip of the Cote de Beaune: quality wines, faithful to their terroir, at very attractive prices. This includes a few lovely 2005s that survived the heat and hail, at a price that won't break the bank.
