The 2007 Makor is a unoaked blend of 85% Bobal and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon from the DO of Utiel-Requena. It was aged in tank for 14 months with twice daily batonnage. Dark ruby in color, it gives up a pleasant nose of pomegranate, plum, and underbrush. Ripe, sweet, and fruity on the palate, it is a forward effort that displays some elegance and an easy-going personality. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
