Elyse continues to turn out interesting, well-made wines that offer considerable attraction. The 1993 Nero Misto (mixed black) is a blend of 44% Petite-Sirah, 30% Zinfandel, and 26% unknown field blend grapes. The wine exhibits a dark ruby color, gobs of ripe jammy fruit in the nose, and a supple, round texture. Somewhat Rhone Ranger-ish, with plenty of spice and ripe fruit, it will provide delightful drinking over the next 2-3 years.Tel. (707) 963-5496
