The 2021 Sp?tburgunder Rosé is a cherry red, slightly cloudy Pinot Noir from Münchweier, Baden. The wine opens with a dense, spicy nose with scents of sloes and oranges. Still slightly reductive, it is asking for air. Elegant, fresh, round and juicy in the mouth, with dense texture and fruit intensity on the spicy finish, this gastronomic wine should be served from a bigger glass.12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. The 2019 Sp?tburgunder Rosé comes along in the color of an Alsace Pinot Noir from decades ago, so almost like a red wine. Silky, fresh and elegant on the palate, this is a medium-bodied and refreshing Pinot with a pretty tight and still astringent tannin structure that dries out in the end. Tasted in November 2020.

The 2015 Sp?tburgunder Rosé Badischer Landwein has a garnet, bright ruby color. Fermented in barrels, the wine has a beautifully clear, fresh and subtle Sp?tburgunder cherry aroma with just a kiss of noble oak. Sweet and round, with delicate fruit, a silky texture and lovely aromatics, this is a cherry-flavored wine with great finesse and length. It is sweet, shows stewed red currant flavors in the aftertaste and keeps its elegance, charm and fruit until the finish. In short, this Rosé is a beauty with grip, tension and lingering sweet fruit.

An intense salmon color dresses the 2014 Sp?tburgunder Rosé, which comes from shell limestone and colored sandstone soils in Münchweier (Ortenau/Baden); it was fermented with 50% whole clusters and 50% destemmed grapes in small barrels. The wine opens with a very delicate, floral and mineral-flavored red fruit aroma that indicates a serious wine. Light to medium-bodied and very elegant on the palate, with fine tannins and a nice grip in the finish, this is indeed serious Pinot Noir Rosé that should go very well with fish and many kinds of cheese. The well structured and refreshing finish is really expressive, as is the wine from the very beginning until the end.
