The non-vintage Secondi Viaggio (a blend of Primitivo and Sangiovese) is a delicious, nearly outstanding, full-bodied, robust, richly fruity effort that scores high in all hedonistic categories. The color is a dark ruby/purple. The wine offers explosive levels of black cherry fruit, low acidity, and an exuberant, pleasure-filled finish. The noteworthy glycerin is obviously a result of the lofty alcohol (14%). Approximately 3,500 cases were produced.
