Matured for 14 months in French oak, 30% new, the 2008 Camelback Shiraz has a deep garnet-purple color and moderate to intense notes of ripe plums, warm blackberries, blueberry pie filling, baking spice and hints of black pepper and fennel seed. Medium-full bodied with very crisp acidity and a medium level of rounded tannins, it has just enough fruit to flesh the structure and a long peppery finish. Drink it now to 2016+. "Camelback" is the export label used for all countries that Galli Estate exports to, except New Zealand. No known US importer.
