The 2019 Nonnenberg offers an intense and elegant, finely flinty bouquet with notes of ripe fruits and sliced pancakes. Pure and tensioned on the palate, this is a crystalline, refined and elegant Nonnenberg with a long and saline, finely grippy and still thrifty finish. Not at its peak today, but it's tensioned and energetic. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in July 2022.

The 2018 Rauenthal Nonnenberg Riesling is a pure and very fine dry Riesling from the phyllite slate soils of this 6.5-hectare cru. Crunchy slate and flinty notes intermixed with elegant and bright Riesling aromas lead to a lush and round, tight and structured, very elegant and full-bodied dry Riesling with fine tannins and lingering salinity. 12.2% alcohol. This is the most powerful of the three grands crus soon to be released. Bottled at the end of July and tasted in August 2019.
