One of California’s finest Sauvignon Blancs, his 2009 Rosemary’s Block (from a clone he secured from Italy’s Alto Adige area) was bottled unfined and unfiltered. It reveals crisp, elegant notes of honeyed melons, gun flint, grapefruit, crushed rocks and white flowers. Authoritative and elegant with exuberant acidity, a wonderful texture and richness for a Sauvignon and a long finish, this stainless steel-fermented and aged 2009 should provide plenty of pleasure over the next several years.
