The 2012 Sumoll is a light red produced with the local grape that names the wine. It fermented in small stainless steel vats and matured in used French oak barrels for one year. The final bottling is a selection of the four barrels they preferred out of the seven produced. It feels a bit wild with some animal aromas, leather, licorice and some paint coating the ripe red fruit and the spices. The palate feels a bit dried out, with some dusty tannins and a texture that can be influenced by the oak or perhaps some unwanted yeasts. 1,500 bottles.
