Drinking Scheu is nothing but fun, especially when it is bone dry or a luscious, piquant and sweet Sp?tlese like the racy and piquant 2013 Scheurebe Sp?tlese from Krüger-Rumpf. Very precise on the nose, the wine delivers seductively piquant lemon and grapefruit flavors as well as golden wine grapes aromas. On the palate this light to medium-bodied wine is rather fruity than sweet, extreme, juicy and piquant in the slightly salty finish. There is no good reason not to buy this wine and if you hear people singing "I want to take a bath in this Scheu" you'd better take them seriously. So don't buy just one case. "At Kruger-Rumpf Scheurebe has a relatively old tradition," says Georg Rumpf. The vineyards in the Dautenpfl?nzer and the Kapellenberg were planted by my grandfather end of the 1960s. The 2013 Scheu comes from fully ripe grapes in both vineyards and was fermented partly in a large oak barrel to keep the aromas more discreet."
