Potentially outstanding, the 2008 Nicole’s Proprietary Red (77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc) exhibits a strong floral component intermixed with notes of blue and black fruits, soil/forest floor, and a subtle smoky note from high quality French oak. Even better is the 2007 Nicole’s Proprietary Red, a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot. Its dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by a sweet perfume of sandalwood, blueberries, black currants, cedar, tobacco leaf, spice box, and well-integrated wood.
