The 2014 C?tes du Rh?ne Domaine Saint Jacques is a good, well made blend of 65% Grenache, 10% each of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Marselan, and 5% Carignan that offers attractive notes of black cherries, roasted herbs and garrigue. Drink this moderately concentrated, simple, yet enjoyable red over the coming couple of years.

Tasted out of bottle, the 2012 Cotes du Rhone Domaine Saint Jacques is a peppery, medium-bodied, supple Southern Rhone that offers up solid fruit and plenty of texture in a straightforward, delicious style. More underbrush and floral notes develop with air and this is a good effort geared for drinking over the coming couple of years. Drink now-2017.
