This wine is 90% Corvina with small percentages of Croatina, Rondinella and Oseleta aged in barrique for 24 months. The Le Salette 2017 Ca' Carnocchio reveals a punchy and bright personality with attractive cherry tones layered with cinnamon, rose, pressed flower, lady's perfume and crushed rock. However, you also feel the intensity of a hot vintage in this 12,000-bottle release.

Le Salette's 2016 Ca' Carnocchio is a fresh and inviting blend of local indigenous grapes such as Corvina, Corvinone, Croatina, Rondinella and Oseleta. The wine shows dried cherry and blackberry aromas, and it also offers some savory tones of spice, cured leather and grilled herb. You get plenty of intensity spread over an accessible, medium-weight texture delivered to the palate. This well-priced wine should hold well for the next few years.

Dry and spicy, with an appealing sweet gamy note of bresaola lying below the surface of currant, brambly berry, dried sage and thyme and ground spice flavors. The 2007 Ca- Carnocchio fleshes out beautifully, with expressive dark fruit, orange peel, leather and exotic spices. Rich, round and generous, the Ca- Carnocchio is an immediate, sexy wine best enjoyed over the next handful of years. The 2007 isn-t as exuberant as it is in top vintages, but this is nevertheless a very strong effort. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. Soft and enveloping through to the finish, the 2006 Ca’ Carnocchio delivers tons of pleasure in an up-front, juicy style. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.
