One of the numerous cuvees from the Mas de la Barben collaboration of Marcel Hermann and Michel Chapoutier at the eastern edge of the Languedoc (many others of which have been reviewed by Robert Parker in previous issues) the 2005 Coteaux du Langudoc La Danseuse – a tank-raised 60:40 Grenache:Syrah blend – smells of roasted game; Provencal herbs and scrub; and red raspberry and strawberry preserves.
