The 2008 Tesoro de Bullas Seleccion is a glass-coating opaque purple color that displays more depth and concentration than the regular cuvee. Malolactic fermentation occurred in wood tanks followed by 17 months in new 500-liter American oak barrels. Aromas of pain grille, underbrush, minerals, lavender, and blueberry compose the wine’s enticing bouquet. Round and mouth-filling, it has enough stuffing to evolve for 2-3 years. This lengthy effort offers a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2020. Majuelos de Espana, headed by Felipe Alvarez, is a negociant group whose grape growers and winemakers are devoted to recovering old Majuelos (Vineyards) across Spain. Majuelos de Espana’s offerings from Ribera del Duero are all barrel samples of 100% Tinta Fine (Tempranillo) from the great 2009 vintage.Importer: Felipe Alvarez, Majuelos de Espana, www.majuelos.com
