With the simple yellow label, the Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Gresy 2022 Barbera d'Asti is relatively well contained, especially in a vintage that renders explosive and very exuberant Barbera-based wines. This expression comes from the Asti area, which usually means more fruit brightness, acidity and a more tapered mouthfeel. All those points apply here, and the wine's more grounded character is better for pairing with your favorite foods like pasta al pomodoro with salty ricotta cheese, fried eggplant and fresh basil leaves. Exactly 27,333 bottles were produced.

Instead, this wine introduces a soft and subdued side of the grape that suits it very nicely. If offers a mid-weight appearance with ruby and garnet highlights. The wine also shows versatility in terms of food-pairing possibilities. It could be served with pasta and meat sauce or roast chicken. An ample 25,800 bottles were made.

The 2015 Barbera d'Asti shows the heat of the vintage. Barbera loves a warm growing season, and it quickly develops opulence and exuberance in the final weeks before harvest when the temperatures are warmest. This wine reveals sweet softness and jammy aromas of blackberry fruit, prune and cherry confit. That characteristic Barbera freshness kicks in at the end.
