The two GSMs are both excellent. The 2006 Greenock Rise GSM is composed of 60% Grenache, 30% Shiraz, and 10% Mourvedre. Dark ruby-colored, the aromatics are muted. With coaxing, scents of earth, leather, kirsch, and black raspberry emerge. On the palate, the wine is supple-textured, with sweet fruit and light tannin. Made in a forward style, this GSM has a pure finish and can be enjoyed over the next 6-8 years. Importer: Zeal Wine Imports, San Francisco, CA; www.maverickwines.com.au
