The 2018 Rolling Stone is composed of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Malbec, 3% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot and is a combination of the best parcels of fruit from the Hazel's Vineyard. It matured in French oak for 18 months (40% new). The 2018 season was warm and produced wines of power and grace. The nose here leads with dark chocolate, cassis, licorice, raspberry and pomegranate and inflections of bay leaf and green olive. The fruit is enveloping, rich and fresh. A superb wine. Muscled, almost gravelly tannins shape the wine through the finish. 14.4% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
