The 2011 Teroldego Rotaliano Riserva Nos is a dark and concentrated red wine with an interesting but also very robust bouquet that includes dried fruit, spice and a touch of pecorino cheese rind. The bouquet continues to offer tobacco, bitter chocolate and crushed slate. This was a hot vintage, and you feel that extra ripeness as a result. I'd suggest drinking this wine over the next 5 years. Some 6,000 bottles were made.

A bit herbal and weedy, but also packs in plenty of ripe cassis fruit alongside meaty notes and a hint of dark earth. Loosely-knit structurally, it still offers a rich mouthful of flavors, ending on a chocolaty note.——J.C.(12/31/2004)—— 85
