The 2018 La Rosine Syrah blends scents of licorice, tapenade, cola and plums on the nose, revealing substantial complexity. Medium to full-bodied, it shows excellent ripeness on the palate, silky tannins and ample length on the mouthwatering finish. It's a terrific introduction to Stéphane Ogier's range of Syrahs from the Northern Rh?ne.

Ogier's 2017 La Rosine Syrah features attractive floral, cranberry and tea-like aromas. Despite being medium to full-bodied, it's delicate in style, with a lacy sense to the just-ripe tannins and a long, savory finish. Drink it over the next 5 years.

The 2016 Syrah la Rosine Vin de Pays is medium-bodied, with silky tannins and charming cherry-raspberry fruit. It should drink well young.

The 2015 Syrah la Rosine Vin de Pays is atypically concentrated and tannic, deserving of short-term cellaring. This medium to full-bodied wine delivers aromas and flavors of roasted meat, black olives, blackberries, black tea and espresso.

Leading off the 2014s, and a hidden little gem in the vintage, the 2014 La Rosine comes from a terroir that Stephane says is almost identical to Lancement. It offers a medium-bodied, perfumed style as well as notes of red currants, olives, dried flowers and raspberries. It’s no big red, but is all about finesse and elegance.
