The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) – Syrah (40%) Reserva was aged for 9 months in French and American oak. Asian spices, lavender, game, underbrush, and black fruits are followed by a medium-bodied wine which displays a considerable does of chocolate on the palate as well as ample fruit. It is an excellent value meant for drinking over the next 3-4 years. The MontGras portfolio proved to be a mixed bag as some of the wines could not be recommended.
