The dark ruby/garnet 2009 (90% Grenache and 10% Syrah) has a sexy, up-front, open-knit nose of red and black fruits, loamy soil undertones, and Provencal herbs. Full-bodied, powerful, but silky smooth, it should be drunk over the next decade. The winemaker here, Serge Mouriesse, is also the winemaker at Mont Tabor. He has a microscopic estate in Chateauneuf du Pape but produces a few barrels of 100% Grenache that are very impressive.contact@mouriesse-vinum.com
