The 1995 Alexander Valley Chardonnay possesses copious quantities of pear, lemony, citrusy notes, ripe fruit, and low acidity that emphasizes the wine's fruit and soft texture. In addition to some new sporty, brightly colored labels, I was encouraged by how well the red wines tasted, as this winery's strong suit has always been their Fume Blanc, and more recently Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
