Old Plains' 2008 Power of One Shiraz gives a deep garnet-purple color and intense notes of preserved blackberry, black cherry pie and some mint with a spicy undercurrent. Full bodied and voluptuous on the palate, it's well supported with very high acid and a medium-high level of fine-grained tannins, finishing long.
