Garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Paritua Syrah reveals aromas of peppered black raspberries and black cherries with underlying Provence herb and dried leaf nuances. Medium bodied and with plenty of warm berry and pepper flavors to offer, it has a low level of soft tannins, crisp acid and a long peppery finish. Drink it now through 2014+. The 2008 Syrah has a deep garnet-purple color and very peppery aromas over blackberry, black cherry, spice box and cloves plus a hint of anise. The palate is elegantly fruited and well balanced with high acid, a medium level of fine tannins and great persistence. Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2007 Syrah is a little reduced with rubbery notes over warm blackberry preserves, black currant cordial, mace, cinnamon and all spice.
