In a screw-cap bottle, the Prà 2020 Soave Classico Monte Grande shows flinty aromas that blow off quickly. Once they do, you get dried apricot, summer peach and baked apple. This wine definitely wears the marks of a hot and sunny vintage with more fruit concentration and richness. Even its color shows more golden saturation. The blend is 70% Garganega and 30% Trebbiano di Soave. Some 15,000 bottles were released.

The 2016 Soave Classico Monte Grande mixes things up a bit with its blend of Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave in a supporting role. This is a lean to medium-bodied white that is redolent of peach cobbler and lemon mousse with pretty shadings of spice and smoke and ash at the back. This vintage shows very nice balance and crispness.
