Strongly scented of oak, with toasty, mentholated scents alongside vanilla, cinnamon and clove. The texture is creamy, with vanilla and tobacco flavors backed by soft black cherries. Spicy, smoky aromas give a French gloss to this first vintage of a reserve wine from the Rothschild owned estate.
