The dark ruby-colored 2007 Greek Columns McLaren Vale Grenache (100 cases) reveals an expressive nose of spice box, leather, tobacco, black cherry, and red licorice. Full-bodied and dense, it has enough silky tannin to blossom for another 2-3 years and should provide pleasure through 2020. Chateau Chateau is a label created by importer Dan Philips and marketed under the R Wines umbrella. Its stated purpose is to demonstrate the effects of soil and place on Grenache (and blends) from the best terroirs in Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. The Barossa Reserve wines are limited production cuvees, most of them under 150 cases. Each has its own distinctive label representing its place of origin.Importer: Dan Philips, The Grateful Palate, Oxnard, CA; tel. (805) 278-9095
