Dark ruby-colored, with an intensely fragrant bouquet of black and red fruits, pepper, and spicy wood, this supple wine is medium to full-bodied, with loads of delicious glycerin-imbued, chewy fruit. A joy to drink, Ridge's 1992 Mataro (Mourvedre) should continue to drink well for 6-7 years. My instincts suggest this would be a flexible wine to serve with a multitude of dishes.
