Roagna's 1990 Barbaresco from the Baroco Vineyard reveals evidence of new oak in its toasty, smoky, vanillin, and black-cherry-scented nose. The wine displays a deep ruby color (more saturated than his other offerings) and a splendidly rich, full-bodied finish with noticeable tannin and high alcohol.
