Roagna's 1990 Barbarescos look to be richer than the 1989 Barbaresco, and potentially profound wines. Roagna's 1990 Barbaresco from the Baroco Vineyard reveals evidence of new oak in its toasty, smoky, vanillin, and black-cherry-scented nose. The wine displays a deep ruby color (more saturated than his other offerings) and a splendidly rich, full-bodied finish with noticeable tannin and high alcohol. Approachable now, it should last for 10-15+ years. Impressive wines!
