The 2020 Finisterre Chardonnay is firm and rambunctious, with loads of flavor and oak that pierce the senses, while the impression of peach/mango/apple and cinnamon color the aftertaste. This is an overt and full-flavored expression of Margaret River Chardonnay. Powerful. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Subtle hints of pencil shavings and hickory smoke join white peaches and fresh lime on the nose of the 2017 Finisterre Chardonnay. It's a plump, medium-bodied Chardonnay, maybe a bit restrained and polite for my tastes, but elegant and fine.

Despite being fermented in 100% new French oak, the 2016 Finisterre Chardonnay is only lightly toasty, with scents of pineapple and tangerine complemented by hints of toasted cereal grains and subtle vanilla shadings. This is a medium-bodied, silky-textured Chardonnay with so much elegance and finesse it runs the risk of being too fine. Flavor isn't a bad thing!

The 2015 Finisterre Chardonnay is scented of peaches, apples, butterscotch and toast with a woody undercurrent. Medium-bodied, the palate is relatively straightforward with the oak standing out a bit on the finish.
