The 2018 Sp?tburgunder Eichberg GG is deep, ripe and spicy on the elegant and complex nose. Full-bodied, intense and powerful yet always fresh, this is a robust very intense and sustainable Pinot with grip and mineral vitality. Needs time. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2020.

The 2017 Sp?tburgunder Eichberg GG is deep, ripe and fine on the pure, fleshy, iron-rich and easily complex nose. Juicy, sweet and generous but refined and fresh, with fine tannins and vibrant freshness on the palate, this is a full-bodied, sweet, pure and salty, very complex and energetic Pinot with grip, length and tension. Excellent Pinot Noir from the Kaiserstuhl. Tasted in May 2020.

Salwey's 2016 Eichberg Sp?tburgunder GG is super clear and fresh on the pure and well-concentrated, herbal and highly interesting nose. Silky, lush yet tight and tensioned, with great purity and nervosity, this is a beautiful 2016, and there is so much energy here. Coming from the Kaiserstuhl, this is a remarkable, coolish and vitalizing Pinot Noir with more purity than ambitious winemaking efforts.
