The 2014 Sp?tburgunder Oberrotweiler Henkender GG comes from volcanic lava soils; it offers a deep, flinty, stony and dark flavored bouquet. There are red and dark, fresh and spicy sous bois fruits. Juicy and perfectly ripe on the palate, this is a full-bodied, aromatic, well structured, fresh and floral-flavored Pinot. The wine has firm and refreshing tannins, as well as a stimulating lemon peel grip in the finish. There is just one manual pressing after 18-20 days with up to two bars, before the wine is racked into 1,000-liter vats and from there straight into barriques with the full lees. This is really vitalizimg and characterful Kaiserstuhl Pinot.
