The 2018 Sp?tburgunder RS is intense and toasty on the deep, well-concentrated and reductive nose. Powerful and intense on the palate, this is a wide, very attractive and elegant Pinot that doesn't have the depth and structure of the GG bottlings but can compete with any Bourgogne Villages. This is not just charming, it is a dramatically charming Pinot Noir from one of the Kaiserstuhl's very best vineyards. Tasted as a sample in May 2020.

Salwey's 2017 Sp?tburgunder RS is pure and fresh on the aromatic and smoky nose. Intense yet fresh and pure on the tight and linear palate, this is a stimulatingly pure and salty Pinot with grip and tension. Full-bodied, pure, fresh and full of raspberry and strawberry aromas—a lovely Pinot Noir that can compete with any Bourgogne rouge. Tasted in May 2020.

The 2014 Sp?tburgunder RS comes from younger vines in the Oberrotweil Grosse Lage vineyards of Kirchberg, Henkenberg and K?sleberg. This Pinot offers a clear, intense and refreshing bouquet of red fruits and some floral aromas. Very elegant and with remarkable precision and definition already on on the nose, this is a medium-bodied, silky textured and very elegant Pinot Noir. The wine shows a ripe and juicy fruit, great purity, a lovely grip and vibrant freshness on the palate. The finish is lifted and really stimulating in its purity, phenolic grip and light salinity. A lovely light Pinot with character.
