The 2015 Nebbiolo d'Alba Bric du Nota opens to a light appearance that is one of the characteristics of the vintage. Nebbiolo tends to lose some of its color in the warmest vintages such as this. As you lift the wine to your nose, you are also aware of the alcohol, which in truth is only registered at 13.5%, but it leaves it mark nonetheless. This is perhaps because the primary fruit is dimmer and less intense overall. There's not much padding there to glue it together. 4,500 bottles were made.
