The 2011 Viognier is scented of warm apricots, honeysuckle and mace with touches of white pepper and coriander seed. Full-bodied with a pleasant oiliness to the texture, it offers mouth-filling apricot and spice flavors balanced by a crisp acid line, finishing long. Drink this one now through 2014.
I tasted a few of Seresin’s single vineyard 2009 Pinot Noirs again this year, to check how they were developing now that they were entering their drinking window. In short, it is well worth waiting a year after release before readers consider drinking these wines!
